Heating rail - FLOOR CONVECTORS

Heating rail is not a smaller radiator - it works on a different principle.
Combination of radiant radiation, peripheral coverage and uniform distribution of the tested BSRIA allows it to provide comfort similar to floor heating at supply temperatures suitable for boilers and heat pumps.

Brilliant Features

FAST REACTION

Thanks to the small amount of water, it is possible to regulate the floor heating or wall convectors extremely quickly and thus ensure pleasant conditions throughout the space.

HEATING OF COLD SURFACES

Cold external walls and cold glass surfaces are always potential thermal bridges. Floor convectors and wall heating create a thermal shield and reliably heat problematic surfaces, preventing cold and draught.

FLEXIBILITY OF HEATING

Floor convectors and wall heating are elegant, flexible, and discreet in terms of their design and adaptation to the interior of the heated space. The covers of floor heating can be designed according to customer requirements (wood, solid...).

The grilles of floor convectors are available in six colors.

LOW WATER CONTENT

The wall radiator holds approximately 0.5 liters of water per 5 meters of profile, which is a fraction of the volume of a panel radiator. This drastically reduces the thermal mass that the boiler or heat pump heats in each cycle, thereby shortening the start-up times and improving the efficiency of the cycle with low-temperature heat sources. Since the system is made of aluminum, to maintain the manufacturer's warranty, it is necessary to dose chemicals according to the BS 7593 standard (Fernox F1, Sentinel X100, or equivalent) at a pH of 6.8 – 8.3.

PREPARED FOR HEAT PUMP

Heat pumps work best at temperatures of 35 – 45 °C. Standard radiators at these temperatures lose approximately 70% of their performance, and therefore, when installing heat pumps, oversized radiators or often more than one are used. ThermaSkirt uses the entire perimeter of the room as a heating surface, while maintaining almost 50% of its performance at dT20 (compared to ~30% for radiators) and provides the necessary heat without occupying walls.

Hello, not convection.

Conventional radiators rely on rising hot air. Reduce the flow temperature and this effect collapses and the performance drops by approximately 70% from dT50 to dT20. ThermaSkirt has no fins for convection; it radiates outward into the room and with the same drop loses only about 52%.

Thermal envelope.

Heat is radiated to the outer shell, precisely where the room loses it. The entire space becomes one thermal envelope with comfort that is largely independent of where you place the sofa, bed or wardrobe.

Fast response, on any floor.

Low water volume means that ThermaSkirt heats up and cools down in a matter of minutes, not hours. And unlike floor heating, its performance does not change depending on what is laid on the floor above it - whether it is tile, wood, vinyl or carpet - the response is the same. You get the even heat distribution of floor heating without having to sacrifice the responsiveness of the radiator.

FLEXIBLE

No other heating system, such as floor convectors, offers such a wide range of installation options in any floor or adaptation to the interior style. Their thoughtful design allows them to be used along glazed walls, at garage entrances or at entrances to winter gardens.

ECONOMICAL

Floor convectors respond to the demand for heat very quickly. Compared to other systems, they work with a small amount of water at low temperature, which also leads to significant energy savings.

In winter, rising warm air is attracted to the cool floor surface - this prevents air circulation in large rooms.

BENEFITS

Baseboard and floor convector systems serve as preventive protection against thermal bridges and ensure a cozy atmosphere.

Beautiful and discreet. Flexible usage options in living spaces, winter gardens and verandas, in schools, fitness centers, offices and administrative buildings.

Heating elements developed by the company are used in both baseboard heating and floor convectors.

Easy installation. Stable fastening. Quick installation using wall and window holders.

The temperature can be regulated using a room thermostat or thermostatic valve.

Space on the wall and furniture Releases 100 % of the space on the wall. Sofas, beds, wardrobes are in one plane with the wall. Determines the layout of the room. Cannot be blocked by heavy furniture. Releases 100 % of the space on the wall. Hidden under the floor.
Installation interruption Minimal. Installed as a baseboard strip for 1 - 2 days per room. Minimal. Replacement of existing pipes for one day. Very high. Requires lifting floors, pouring concrete or raising the floor level.
Costs of additional installation Low to medium. Suitable for existing piping with a diameter of 15 mm or 10 mm. The lowest initial costs when replacing comparable goods for comparable. Very high. Large secondary costs (removal of floor, powder, doors).
Compatibility with heat pump (35–45 °C)
Excellent. Maintains ~48% performance at dT20, so no oversized radiators are needed.
Weak. Requires massive, oversized double/triple panels.
Excellent. Most common pairing of heat pumps in new buildings.
Response time Good. On a standard gas boiler circuit, it heats up in 10–15 minutes. Good. On a standard gas boiler circuit, it heats up in 10-15 minutes. Slowly. 1-3 hours to heat the thermal mass of the floor.
Floor coverings No restrictions. Thick carpets, solid wood, mats, everything is fine. No restrictions. Limited. Thick carpets (> 1.5 Tog) act as insulators and block heat.
Dust and hygiene
Radiates clean heat. Wipes with a cloth.
Traps dust and animal hair inside deep metal ribs. Sealed under the floor. No dust accumulation.
